Petrified wood

bottled up for all time

turning into stone

preserving history like a chime

 

Life can be a challenge

keeping feelings inside

turning our hearts to stone

till we are not alive

 

Sharing our thoughts

with one another

heals our souls

feeling with some other

 

God grants us a day

healing our wounds anew

talking to other people

see things from another view

 

Kindness to each other

helps sad feelings go away

listening to each person

hugging them along the way

 

Our hearts are able

to feel immense joy

when we listen and give

solutions to employ

 

Love one another

each and every day

communicate love

on this Happy Father’s Day
