The yellowish envelope floated among
the rocky bottom of the stream
having endure many storms
left as part of a dream
A young man
poured out his feeling in a letter
dropping it into the stream
in an attempt to feel better
Along came an angel
sent from Heaven
to rescue the letter
from where it had been hidden
Walking beside the young man
a conversation ensued
each taking turns describing how
life caused them to choose
After many tears
had been shed
gratitude came into their hearts
each thankful for the lives they led
A fire was lit
the letter burned in the ashes
the angel and young man parted ways
smiling as thoughts of life passes
Looking toward the sky
a rainbow has formed
filled with bright colors glimmering in the sun
hope and joy are reborn

Excellent. If you hadn’t mentioned it, I would never have suspected this was fulfilling any prompts. That’s the way to do it!

You’re most welcome
Bitter sweet Metaphor: If I were a dreamer, I would’ve ruled that the words described ‘young man’ were about my beloved son (1980-2013). Only 32 and he had to leave us. His ashes are flowing in a gurgling stream. And his favourite tune was ‘Somewhere Over the Rainbow’. His life was captured, edited and posthumously self-published by Me/’Mom now available to order in Paperback: HOW I LEFT THIS WORLD. His Name: Murat Danishek.
I am so sorry for the loss of your son. Prayers for healing and comfort. Thanks for reading. Have a wonderful day.
