Bee Sting

One day working in the garden

I felt a bee sting

strong and powerful

forming a ring

Feeling dizzy

calling for help

hand is swollen

with a huge whelp

Through the venom

I experienced strange sensations

saw the beauty in a bee’s life

a part of creation

Using a dancing style

to craft a flower’s bloom

spreading pollen to all

sitting in elegant rooms

The craft is inborn

pollinating a creative art

weaving between the flowers

expressive from the start

Filling the hive with honey

another gift

food for themselves and others

a sweet lift

An epi pen was brought

I came back to life

appreciating my vision

the future of nature is bright

    • Thank you. I didn’t realize whelp had a different meaning. In my family any redness or swelling from a sting has always been called a whelp. Thanks for reading. Have a wonderful day!
