Driving down the scenic road
enjoying the yellow in the desert
blue sky surrounds me
wind tumbling the dirt
In the distance
the mountains are pink
rock formations
ancient I think
Windows rolled down
breathing in the fresh air
grateful for the serenity
offering up a short prayer
Breathing out
letting go of all troubles
freedom on the horizon
pleasure in the drive doubles
Moving on
singing as music plays
melody is a meditation
on this beautiful day
Time for renewal
on this first day of spring
an abundance of joy
in the small things
