An artic winter

threatens my heart

a world filled with violence

tearing my spirit apart

Climbing up a mountain

shouting in the air

how is this allowed

it’s not fair

Consumed with emotion

I sit down and cry

wondering where hope went

is it time to die

Glancing upward

a sun ray causes a rainbow in a tear

a new universe is exposed

taking away my fear

Feeling mellow

now in a relaxing state

an inner voice calls me

it’s not too late

Small changes

connecting with others

random acts of kindness

remembering we are brothers

A light that shines

in all mankind

changes the world

one person at a time

A smile on my face

the ice has begun to melt

hope of a new year

love is felt

In this new year

instead of a reaction

love and light will be spread

peace in action
