An Age Old Fairy Tale

Launched from the

deep bands of hell

an attack from the restless

of ne’re do wells

Rivers filled with blood

flowing with the strength of fear

deep rapids of hopelessness

evil in full gear

Lies on top of each other

to cover the greed of oil and gas

souls crying out

how long will it last

How long will it take

to throw out the trash

till the flames are set

for love to rise from the ash

A star twinkles

in the sky

sending a spark

into open eyes

Water flows

as love splashes over the world

souls are healed

as evil is hurled

One by one

each soul takes it place

a new world is created

bound in love not hate

A fairytale that is

old as time

living together in peace

worth the climb

  1. I love the progressing of the imagery, in such a simple and pure way, from darkness into light and I loved this part :”How long will it take

    to throw out the trash

    till the flames are set

for love to rise from the ash” – and the pheonix nod, where strength, youth and the good are reborn from the ashes – a story we need be reminded of often.
