Procuring a kayak

sliding it into the river

paddling along the banks

feeling a slight shiver

Wind blowing the trees

filled with dew

magical rainbows glimmer

a majestic view

Currents govern my path

creating some rapids along the way

shouting with excitement

as fish jump along the bay

Water splashing

upon my face

kayaking faster

as if in a race

Water slows down

birds sing in the trees

pulling into a bank

water now at my knees

Taking time to meditate

to enjoy every sound

one with nature

bound to the ground

Kayaking again

on my way home

spirit is energized

from the time alone
