Seeking solitude
in the middle of the day
distractions everywhere
taking my peace away
Gathering needed supplies
ignoring all pleas for my time
going to my happy place
with coffee and wine
Time to write
immerse myself in a story
paper and pictures
may use an allegory
Words flow
magical world takes me away
trees and flowers
begging me to stay
Now at peace
warm with a scarf and a sweater
immersed in a fantasy world
spirit is lite as a feather
