Sitting in a chair

wrapped in a throw

drinking hot chocolate

listening as rain turns to snow

Fire crackling

reading a book

calm and comforting

in my nook

Poetry expressing feelings

every high and low

emotions are volatile

creating a flow

Feeling calm

comfortable in my space

alone in my thoughts

surrounded by grace

Crackling fire

sounds of snowfall

entering a sweet dream

able to fly through it all

Meditation over

now in a deep sleep

calm and serene

my soul to keep
