Daylight shines through the house
getting ready the day
should I be obvious about my mood
or look another way
Choosing which
face to wear
should I spout off hate
causing others to despair
I could choose melancholy
spreading tears making others blue
we could have a pity party
pain is nothing new
The choice for today
is to wear a smiling face
happiness will be spread
kindness and grace
Each day is a choice
my thoughts and outlook
the journey through life
writing my own book
