The Vortex

In the storm was a vortex

its power pulled me in

shaking with fear

goosebumps on my skin

Suddenly lying in repose

a sweet flavor filled the air

so calming to my senses

like a prayer

Another upside

a feeling of peace

surrounded by pleasant sounds

contentment within reach

The clouds changed shape

pictures of what can be

a change in attitude

miracles to see

The vortex disappears

now am alone

changing for the better

smiling all the way home
