Becoming an actor

in a picturesque play

looking for meaningful exchanges

on a walk this day

Though difficult to

cut the cord of reality

I was able to open a new world

increasing the surrounding vitality

The trees spoke

lifting me to sway in the wind

becoming one with the sky

as a cloud drew me in

A wave lifted from the sea

placing me on the aft of a boat

rocking against the water

feeling exhilarated as I kept it afloat

Landing on an island

time to return

calmness overtook me

time to adjourn

The play ended

as the sun gave way to rain

tears in my eyes

grateful for the gain
