In the darkness of the night

words burn like fire in the wind

crowds watch in wonder

what message will the fire send

Will it be peace

time for kindness to soar

or will it be violence

sending messages of war

Wind carries the embers

to those who would receive

time for action

to those who believe

Two people meet

each with a different interpretation

misunderstandings ensue

there are many revelations

The fire burns

till the rains come

thunder and lightening roar

frightening to some

At last, the flames die

as the people listen to one another

feelings understood

now they are brothers
