Eyes filled with tears
faith that the sun will rise
a difficult season
filled with lies
Shadow of a person
jester in the court
a chaotic world
life cut short
Looking towards the heavens
seeking refuge in the sky
will the sun rise
or continue in the nigh
A cardinal sings
welcoming the first ray
light shining brighter
beginning of a new day
Joy returns
as the walls fall down
excited for the future
no longer a clown
