Nimble limbs moving
awakening from a deep hibernation
feeling a quiver of uncertainty
not knowing the situation
A quick assessment
sensing warmth and light
answering the question
outlook is bright
A few days have passed
now is the weekend
filled with joy
energy to expend
Snow has fallen
glistening in the sun’s rays
grateful for the untouched beauty
before sledding on this day
Love and laughter
comfortable by the fire
living in the moment
filling this day’s desire
Time to reflect
drifting off into a dream
life is beautiful
flowing like a stream

A beautiful and calming poem
Thank you. Our winters are mild, and we rarely get snow. When it does snow, I am always amazed at how quiet nature is in the early morning. Thanks for reading. Have a wonderful day!
You’re most welcome. Snow sort of quietens the whole scene
Often it is difficult to think that life is beautiful. Maybe we are looking at the big picture and need to find those little everyday pieces of nature that are able to brighten our outlook. I found your poem calming and soothing.
