It was difficult
to attend
the virtual reunion
of some family and old friends
Wanting to see them
alive and in person
discussing old times
without a curtain
The marker of time
that passes in the wind
persuaded me to go
the veil is thin
Times of gathering
barbecue on the grill
peanuts are boiling
games are a thrill
Tall tales
the one about the fish
the long road trip
my father’s favorite dish
Echo’s of their voices
come from far away
surrounded by love
Happy Heavenly Father’s Day

Lovely one for Father’s Day Debbie.
Thank you. My father passed away over 13 years ago but I can still smell his special BBQ sausage sizzling on the grill. Wonderful memories. Thanks for reading. Have a wonderful day!
You too Debbie. It’s 28 years ago since I lost my Dad and 20 since my FIL passed away.
Our memories sustain us until we see them again. Still as quickly as time passes it appears to pass slowly when I think of them. Prayers for peace. Have a wonderful day!
Thank you
