Escaping into the maze

thinking it better than Earth

spirits lost in time

not realizing their worth

Mechanical and lost

walking in a daze

vulnerable to dark forces

hidden from the sun’s rays

Seemingly no way out

there were tears and screams

looking for direction

as the spirits grieve

In the grips of fear

there is a burning fire

consumed by hopelessness

the situation is dire

Some spirits returned to Earth

finding the light

a haven in the darkness

the sun shines bright

Sending a beacon

to lead the others home

binding together in love

no one will be alone
