Watching the sunrise
filled with vivid colors
bright sparkles on the water
dancing with each other
In a restaurant
on the bayou
menu options are exciting
fun to review
From the window
birds perch on the poles
then suddenly fly away
destination only they know
Choosing an omelet
a cheese and vegetable dish
glancing at a bird
diving for a fish
An alligator
joins this bunch
content resting in the water
waiting to eat until lunch
Frogs are croaking
viewing the landscape
a colorful creature awakens
a huge bayou snake
Beautiful and serene
sitting on the dock to meditate
becoming one with nature
peaceful in my escape
