Chilly today
as the cold wind blows
hopefully the last freeze
but no one knows
As a random act of kindness
I spread seeds on the ground
allowing the squirrels to eat
without the broom around
With a smile on my face
holding doors open for others
young and old
sisters and brothers
Dropped off some flowers
at the elderly person’s door
the smile on their face
should do this more
Picked up trash
from off the street
cleaning up while singing
the song is upbeat
Small random things
that express caring
the world is uplifted
by small acts of sharing
