Aggressive speakers
filled with hot air
thinking themselves a commander
extending their fangs with a flair
A jack of all trades
a master of nothing
running in circles
all the time bluffing
There is silver lining
in listening to these speakers
my brain takes a vacation
destinations are keepers
Through the years
been in many a meeting
eyes wide open
while actively sleeping
One thing to keep in mind
that some speakers are smart
providing frosted and creamy donuts
at the start

now back to productivity

Oh, I love this! ‘my brain takes a vacation’ is my favorite line. I remember being at work and having to attend meetings with dynamic speakers who were going to revitalize us and provide new ideas, blah, blah, blah. Too bad we didn’t think as highly of them as they thought of themselves.
Thank you. I also spent many days in meetings with uninspiring speakers with huge egos. I am retired now and do not miss any of those meetings. Thanks for reading. Have a wonderful day!
