Arising from my work
at the end of the day
excited to get home
singing along the way
Cooking on the grill
sweet aromas fill the air
living life abundant
without a care
The fireflies are festive
dancing to their own beat
crickets are singing
a breeze to calm the heat
The sky is full
stars surround the moon
dreaming of another world
wrapped in a cocoon
Reading a few pages
of an adventure in a book
eyes are getting heavy
just one more look
Sleep overtakes me
time to rest
blessings surround me
life is at its best
