As the summer sun is rising

a mist filters through the forest

crows fly in the sky

wild creatures sing in a chorus

Across the creek

trees cast a shadow

an owl is the sentinel

as the path is narrow

A green lizard

escaping the belt of a bird

runs under a rock

where only water is heard

Fish jump in the rapids

following the stream

a few bears catch them

basking in the sun beams

Deer play in a meadow

there is little fear

only running for cover

when danger is near

Time passes slowly

a relaxed pace of life

the seasons come and go
