Swept up in emotion
the tears began to flow
a sudden upswing in life
when it had been so low
Out of the freezing cold
into a nice warm bed
food in a bowl
nothing to dread
Waking up to a hug
a walk with a ball
running and playing
loving it all
Coming home
hearing good boy
treat waiting for me
and a new toy
Best part
is the hugs and kisses
a beautiful life
answer to all my wishes
