Walking along the path

on a cold winter day

trees filled with ice

sun lighting the way

A cardinal sings

a happy song

welcoming me

as I walk along

Spotting the proper branch

I hang some sunflower seed

an act of kindness

food for creatures in need

Ice crystals sparkle

in the morning sun

prisms filled with color

beautiful webs are spun

Connecting with nature

experiencing a new world

the year is young

peace and harmony unfurl

Smile on my face

calmness in the air

a year of intentional living

life with flair

Meditation over

happiness in my heart

spirit is warmed

by nature’s art
