Walking through the forest
camera in my hand
spreading leaves on the ground
taking pictures of the land
Glancing at the leaves
much to discover
wondering what it would be like
to be one of the pretty colors
Thinking that a leaf
could be named after me
I would float through the air
free as can be
Floating to a haunting tune
twirling in the wind
breeding mystery
till the journey ends
Acting as an island
to a drop of morning dew
filtering through the sun
coloring the day anew
Recycled in the ground
reawakening in the spring
nourishing a bloom
life is a beautiful thing
