The young girl followed the path
leading to a cave
sitting down crying
trying to be brave
The pendant around her neck
a symbol of protection
hoping this cave was enough
to avoid detection
In an attempt to
mollify a god
the tribe abandoned her
seems so odd
As the evil ogre approached
a small group of young people emerged
after a difficult fight
the ogre was purged
Friendship prevailed that day
as a new family was formed
they are stronger together
let evil be warned
