The day grows colder
as my soul searches for solitude
walking in the snow
the screaming wind an interlude
Snow coming down hard
the trees begin to bend
treacherous storm
is there no end
Lost now
the spirits begin to hunt
my soul begs for mercy
the only sound is grunts
Trudging further ahead
praying for the light
has God forgotten me
He is out of site
Praying fervently
almost dead
suddenly a bright light
telling me not to dread
Coming closer
a voice screams in the wind
take hold of my hand
come out of the whirlwind
My hand takes hold
as the spirits begin to run
soul safe now
the Light has won
