A landslide destroyed the house
leaving me alone
searching for something new
a loving and happy home
An uneasy feeling
left me to task
what makes a home
how does it last
Outside the city
a beautiful cottage lay
needing a little work
took me many a day
Walking into the cottage
I began to laugh
filling the home with love
now was my task
Realizing each new home
is a reflection of me
spreading love and joy
fills this home with glee
Inner joy encompassed me
as I invited family and friends
new adventures
a journey that does not end
