Romance changes
throughout the years
it’s amazing
what will bring me to tears
When I was younger
flowers and wine
going out for the evening
fine places to dine
Going dancing
staying out all night
wee hours of the morning
music with delight
Romance now
watching the sun rise
holding hands
looking at loving eyes
Cutting the yard
using the vacuum cleaner
cooking a meal together
loving how I am not leaner
Walking in the park
laughing together
sitting on a park bench
enjoying the weather
Being with you
enjoying the simple things
watching the squirrels run
listening to the birds sing
As we climb the mountains
dance in the wind
walk with our feet in the ocean
knowing the journey never ends
