The cemetery is filled
with strong and sturdy women and men
historical relics
who thought they could win
Using potent words
delivered with a flair
to solve created issues
filled with hot air
Some famous for war
others for peace
there is turmoil
in the west and east
In modern times
the issues remain
attempting to communicate
and ease the pain
Part of the past
but not of history
each of us solves issues
small daily victories
Perhaps a Florence Nightingale
saving lives as a nurse
teaching others how
to be a blessing not a curse
In the field of science
there is Albert Einstein
explaining the universe
a tapestry like a fine wine
Reading the headstones
historical figures added in time
searching for words of wisdom
that will help humans climb
