Water seeped around the edges
slowly separating the foundation
the small leak in the basement
adjusted the house’s location
For years it sat
decaying from neglect
the owner did not care
not an inkling of regret
The great flood came
catching the house in the rapids
swirling from side to side
holding it captive
The waters ceased
the house in a new place
still intact
an act of grace
Location was ideal
a new owner bought the house
restoring to it’s original state
beautiful without a doubt
Now a museum
on the historical register
the house receives many visitors
many interesting characters
A new life
respect for the present and past
history is preserved
with memories that last

Is this true story?
No. I just thought it would be fun to imagine something old salvaged and restored after the chaos of a flood. I have hope that out of the chaos of these days that there will be rebirth and hope. Thanks for reading. Have a wonderful day!
It’s beautifully written.

You’re welcome 😉
How I remember the times we wished we could pick our house up and put it somewhere else! Thanks for using the 3TC in your poem.
