comforting though the ages

looking into a child’s eyes

in the background through life’s stages

Hearing child’s heart beat

filled with love from the beginning

labor is difficult

then crying and grinning

Life marches forward

readily giving advice

wanting love and joy

beautiful in her sight

Always a part of her

through thick and thin

wiping all tears

fighting for her child to win

Mom is gone

watching from above

till the time comes

to greet with a hug
