Walking along the beach

reflecting upon my life

another year older

filled with challenges and strife

The sun rises

another new day

waves splash across my feet

warmed by the sun’s rays

As in life

small treasures come in

shells of different shapes and sizes

beauty from within

Tumbling around

some small fish struggle

then the tide pulls them to safety

free from trouble

Looking outward

there is a storm out to sea

thunder and lightening

dramatic as can be

Calmness on the shore

another day to ponder

experiencing a life

filled with wonder
