Feeling the loss deeply
walking down the street
holding back the tears
agony of defeat
The sun was out
glare shielding my eyes
a stranger appeared
an interesting surprise
Walking beside me
I heard these words
the voice was deep
yet gentle as a bird
Live your life
everything is okay
you are not alone
others will help you along the way
Then in a flash
mood was lifted
the stranger disappeared
perspective shifted
Time passed
each day a slight bit better
grateful for the stranger
and the oral heavenly letter
