In the absence of
a pair of favorite shoes
there are others with
that fill the news
There was a pair
that danced to the beat
a rocking guitar
blue suede on his feet
Many a girl swooned
as Elvis captured their hearts
dancing with him
from the start
An exciting journey
one that started on a dime
carried through the generations
one song at a time
A famous pair of shoes
now in a museum
filled with memories
a part of him
