The news came

when I was on the mountain top

so amazing

my jaw dropped

In the silence

I shouted to the Lord above

in mighty praise

for His incredible love

Breaking out in sound

a melodious song

echoing through the canyon

wildlife sang along

The journey has been long

many obstacles along the way

courage and strength were gifts

that came day by day

Life is a gift

through chaos and birth

growth in the experience

adventures to unearth

Walking down the mountain

cleansed by the rain

a new fire in my spirit

gratitude fans the flame

Meditation over

thankful for news big and small

another moment in this life
