The first computer came
a new world opened up
full of possibilities
information began to erupt
Mine was at work
sent to school
wrote a program filled with bells and whistles
it was really cool
Gone was the process
of researching books
numbers provided automatically
no need to look
Coffee breaks gone
replaced with email
everything monitored
missed eccentric tales
In the beginning
no access to world wide web
only an internal system
relationships began to ebb
Time passed
access world wide internet
community enlarged
beauty from the onset
New friendships form
as the world forms a bond
learning about each other
cultures across the pond
An exciting adventure
that started back in the day
living in harmony
community of ideas to convey
As with all new technology
there were growing pains
now an international world
there has been much gain

Nice post ✍️
Thank you. Have a wonderful day!
I love your poem Debbie! I remember my first computer, it was so big and clunky! Lol, and I had no access to the internet!
Thank you. Computers were so bulky and big in the beginning. Thankful that they are smaller now and that the internet is more accessible. Thanks for reading. Have a wonderful day!
