Scooting along the beach

the crab is frantic

being chased by a net

moving faster in a panic

Hiding in some sea weed

under a dead jellyfish

burrowing in the sand

life is his wish

The sun is his friend

casting a glare

blinding his predators

sparkling with a flair

The net is cast down

too much to the right

filled with shells

pretty and bright

Another wave crashes

moving the crab and sea weed

current takes him to safety

an answer to his plea

The misadventure ends

as the net moves away

relief floods the crab

as he claws along his way
