A two week road trip

out to the American west

filled with beauty and adventure

going to be the best

In Wyoming

watching Old Faithful

geyser rose so high

mighty and graceful

On to the Grand Tetons

walking down a mountain

nature in full bloom

streams flowing like fountains

In Colorado

floating on a river

eagles soaring above us

delightful aerodynamics they did deliver

In Iowa

fields stretch wide

filled with corn

rows are bountiful and high

Trip complete

happy to be home

thankful for this land

my spirit has grown
