The Playhouse

Flowing through

the edge of time

a childhood hideout

comes to mind

Not much just an open shed

windows open to the rain and wind

hours of imagination

useful for tea party friends

Many a day aromas

grilled foods filled the kitchen

handy for a gathering

an ideal condition

A place to dream

live free with no expectation

imagination flowed

adventures with each creation

Obsolete now

growing up stole the wonder

still there is a spark

that will not be asunder

The shed is gone

reclaimed by nature

memory rides the wind

still exhilarated by the adventure
