In the blink of an eye
the world came to an end
grabbing only a jacket
could not find a friend
Walking along
seeing a remnant of the past
memories flooded within him
how long will the pain last
The night seemed eternal
as the moon and mountains meet
winter of the soul
where demons greet
A light appears
a road to a new place
illuminating an opening
a portal to a world of grace
Fear turns to excitement
willing leaving a world of vice
a door to Eden
the eternal paradise
Stepping into the light
a smile emerges on his face
hearing the voice of forgiveness
a moment of grace
After he enters
the portal closes the gate
the world left behind
an abandoned estate
