Jumping on the piano
quite fat
looking for a role model
saw a cat in a hat
He sat on the table
looking quite thin
chatting as he ate dinner
getting food on his chin
Picking up the newspaper
reading about current affairs
thought for a moment
stating life is not fair
Take my advice
eat until quite content
stare humans in the eye
they will wonder the intent
Swinging his umbrella
singing as he walked out the door
dancing in the puddles
the rain began to pour

Out of the volcanic fissure
the ghost arose
searching for conversation
everywhere it goes
Matching opponents
in lengthy debates
subjects range from politics
to what was just ate
Coming across a silent one
deep in thought
ghost is mesmorized
and spoke naught
A smile on his face
as the meditation ended
looking at the ghost
he felt splendid
Asking the ghost
about the spirt world
it is happy or sad
content or in a twirl
The ghost replied
it can be any
filled with want
or a land of plenty
Fire and ice
twist and turns
much like life
what is yearned
Adventure continues
as the ghost floats away
exploring this realm
each day

Halloween night
dressed in a costume
stole some candy
hitting my friend with a broom
With intense emotions
he cast a spell
wishing me to be a frog
in the soil to dwell
I gave a bloodcurdling scream
as the spell came to fruition
everything was gone
except my intuition
Dirty and covered in mud
eating a fly
jumping around
feeling quite spry
Along comes a dog
taking me in his mouth
struggling to be free
afraid this going south
Let go
thrown under a fence
trying to breathe
the air is dense
Finding my friend
mother said to change me back
croaking an apology
using great tact
At home
filled with relief
gave all candy to my friend
small price to stand on two feet

Straddling my horse
riding into the wind
suddenly gold appears
my face with a grin
The gold is everywhere
as ludicrous as it seems
radioactive decay
sparkling in the stream
Riding into the sun
beautiful white light
gold falling to the ground
an incredible sight
Picking up the gold
excited at the treasure
rolling around in it
too much to measure
Picking some up
from the ground and the stream
enough to fill a mattress
an incredible dream
Sun begins to set
the gold fading away
could have been a myth
but the memory never sways

The apparition appeared
in the middle of the night
making noise
trying to give a fright
Moving things around
suddenly the woman was awake
looking around
at things about to break
The apparition was suave
wanting her to be his queen
looking at the mess
she began to scream
Stay if you must
haunting this home
but as for me
I choose to be alone
Rules of the house
here is a broom
if you want to stay
clean this room
The apparition was quiet
this was not what he expected
to be a servant
and to be rejected
Leaving the house
vowing never to return
better to haunt alone
a lesson learned

High above the mountain
pulling souls in
the vortex grows
feeding off fears within
The avatar becomes the vessel
filled with fervent greed
doing whatever is necessary
to satisfy every need
Grilled by tormentors
night and day
thunder and lightening strike
when they do not get their way
All that remains is a zombie
returned to haunt the earth
luring other poor souls
that do not know their worth
Through the clouds
comes a flicker of light
then the sun rises
everything is bright
A champion comes
taking away all fear
rescuing souls in the vortex
drawing them near
A new avatar
throws away the fears of old
living in calm and serenity
lovely to behold

Maneuvering down the stairs
facing a fear
trying not to look down
when a spider jumps on my ear
Losing balance
grabbing a rope
quashing a scream
losing hope
Struggling to reach the steps
certain my fate has been sealed
fog envelops me
taunting me to yield
Praying
while letting go
wind picks me up
trying not look below
Floating in the air
life passes before my eyes
moments of humor
before I die
Landing on the ground
into some soft brush
realizing I am alive
what a rush
Getting up
having faced a fear
walking away from the steps
grateful for life so dear

In the splendor of time
dimensions are split
creating an illusion
using a sewing kit
Chilling in simplicity
causing the truck to go uphill
the sewing machine emits a signal
giving the young man a thrill
Looking elegant
in his suit
graduating in parallel time
a willing recruit
In this episode
chaos is the goal
causing death and destruction
soul is quite cold
Each day he lives
in another dimension
changing histories
a mind invention
Sentenced to eternity
living in deception
soul is lost
depending on the perception
Darkness and light
chosen each day
the young man is happy
choosing the way

Shivering in the cold
on this icy day
hearing a cryptic sound
coming my way
Is it an animal
or the wind
splitting hairs over the crunching ice
where the water is thin
Snow is blowing
catching a quick glimpse
seeing the source of the sound
it’s a small imp
Changing direction
to avoid this devil
stumbling on the ice
stream is ground level
Skating on the ice
speeding down the falls
doing some unique turns
reveling in it all
One last look
at the breathtaking scenery
beautiful snow and ice
contrast to the summer greenery
Back in the cabin
by a cozy fire
wrapped in a blanket
time to retire

Glass shattered as the
figment of imagination spoke
coming so very close
creativity to evoke
Waving the curtains apart
sun filters into the room
shattered glass glowing
creating a brilliant ballroom
Dancing around
shadow as my mate
in perfect harmony
an elegant date
Filled with color
painting the wall
panels telling a story
trying to grasp it all
In the story
there is no blame
everything happens for a reason
sadness has no name
Music stops
back to reality
sweeping up the broken glass
throwing away the debris
Smiling
taking a new path
closing the door
as the curtains laugh
