Issues became a guest in the house
holding a grip on my senses
causing a pain the gut
as I jump through fences
In the midst of confusion
dealing with difficult contractors
thinking about tomorrow
has become one of the distractors
First came the toilet
filled with continuous clogs
how could it be filled with
the dog’s toy logs
Next there is the roof
damaged by hail
water fills the attic
causing me to wail
Work is complete
everyone did their best
counting my blessings
time to rest
